NEUMC - Supporting Efforts

Alexx Wood, Director of Communications has indicated, she and Jim McPhee "agree this ministry is something that many of the New England Conference United Methodist Churchs would find useful".  Many of the districts hold leadership trainings each year, with 1-2 hour seminars/workshop and this may be a current topic of interest for local churches who hold leadership trainings each year.  Internal Ways has contacted district offices to work with District Ministry Team leaders to provide suicide prevention in NEUMC local churchs.  Additionally, this outreach ministry will be introduced in an upcoming NEUMC e-news.

Greetings

As I venture into helping people who struggle with depression and suicidal behaviors, I am asking for your help!  Life changing events in these difficult economic times are causing millions of people severe stress related health issues.  Stress and depression are hitting many people as they become hopeless in these difficult times.  Suicide is becoming one of the leading causes of death in America.

QPR training helps everyone to gain awareness of the signs and symptoms of suicidal behavior.  After hard work, I am now a Certified QPR Trainer offering training sessions for awareness and prevention in the New England Area.

If you or someone you know has an interest in sponsoring a seminar location for a minimum of 20 participants.  Remember, it only takes one person to help others.  Together we can save lives and that life may be a family member or a close friend of yours.

Please contact me if your organization would like a guest speaker or a private training session.  Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.

Sincerely,
Julie Pingree, Founder
